Celebrating our staff

Every year we celebrate our Extra Mile & Long Service Awards in recognition of the amazing work that happens across our Trust every day. This occasion would not be possible without the sponsorship of a number of Milestones Trust suppliers, whose generosity allows us to hold the event we know our staff deserve.

Our Extra Mile Awards

The Extra Mile Awards are our way of celebrating those individuals and teams that really do go above and beyond to ensure that we deliver the very best outcomes for the people we support.

Nominations are open to anyone connected to the Trust – you could be a staff member, someone we support or a family member, one of our volunteers, or perhaps the friend of a person we support – and are made across a range of categories designed to ensure that, employee or volunteer, whatever the part you play your contribution can be recognised.

Finalists are selected by a panel that includes people we support, and are invited to an celebratory event at which both runners-up and winners are presented with a certificate and a gift voucher. It’s a fantastic occasion in the Milestones Trust calendar, and a lovely opportunity to hear stories that remind us of the lengths our colleagues go to to make a positive difference in people’s lives.

Long Service Awards

Alongside our Extra Mile Awards, we also celebrate those individuals who have devoted a significant amount of their lives to our cause – individuals reaching their 10, 15, 20, 25 and even 35 year work anniversaries are also invited to join us at the event, at which they’re also presented with a certificate of achievement and a gift voucher.
