Easter Egg raffle raises £631 for Warmley Wheelers
A raffle boasting an enormous 2kg chocolate Easter egg as its top prize has raised £631 for Warmley Wheelers, our cycling project for people with health conditions and supported needs.
The egg was donated by Keynsham and District Lions Club, a member of Lions Clubs International, the largest service club organisation in the world. The raffle was supported by Warmley Café and Tea Gardens, with staff selling raffle tickets from the café.
The money raised will be used to help fund the ongoing maintenance and repair of Warmley Wheelers’ fleet of adapted bicycles, helping to ensure that we can continue to provide people with health conditions and supported needs with the opportunity to cycle.
Andy Underdown, Project Coordinator at Warmley Wheelers, said:
“I’d like to say a big thank you to Keynsham Lions for donating the Easter egg and to the café’s owners James and Kate Lindsey, not only for supporting the raffle but for their ongoing support, which is massively appreciated. The café’s staff did a great job selling tickets and of course I’d also like to thank all the wonderful customers who bought tickets – your support really will contribute to a worthy cause.”
