Care and Support West Awards 2018
On Saturday 20th October, Care and Support West held an awards ceremony to celebrate the hard work and successes of people who are involved in the social care, support and health sectors in the West of England. A massive congratulations to the winners and nominees from Milestones Trust, who have made the whole organisation proud of their dedication and hard work to care for the people we support.
Our winners on the night were:
Amy Gordon, Learning Disability and Mental Health Care
Amy won the award for Learning Disability and Mental Health Care for developing the service user involvement role for the Trust and for her creative, innovative approach and her commitment to ensuring service users are empowered to have a voice.
Remi Makulec, Care Trainer
Remi won the award for Care Trainer for being a passionate and determined trainer and for developing and leading a dynamic team of Moving and Handling Trainers. From his hard work, he has also managed to publish the ‘Guide to Moving and Handling’ in 2016.
Suzanne Creed, Supported Living Manager
Suzanne won the award for Supported Living Manager for demonstrating how care can make a huge difference in people’s lives, leading a team in extremely difficult circumstances to provide outstanding care for the people her team support.
And, not forgetting our amazing nominated staff: Amber Torr, Care Home Front Line Worker; Alan Nuttall, Care Trainer; and Mulberry House, Learning Disability Home, who are all winners in our eyes for the amazing care and support they give to our service users.
